Alexandra Jansson Moreno (b. 1991, SE) approaches the human body as a system in flux, exploring its ambiguity, changeability, and constant state of becoming. Rooted in posthumanist thinking, her work considers the body as porous and in constant negotiation, both dependent on and shaped by ’others’. Rather than presenting the body as a fixed or autonomous entity, Moreno’s practice views it as malleable, contingent and continuously forming – inviting reflection on how bodies are constructed, altered, and perceived as both matter and meaning.

This inquiry extends beyond her studio practice into Corporealities, an annual magazine examining the human body through interdisciplinary and posthuman perspectives. The first issue launches in autumn 2026, bringing together contributions from artists, writers, researchers, and scientists.

Moreno is also a co-founder and active member of the artist-run initiative MAD. through which she engages in self-organised exhibition-making and collaboration.
